Scott Swartz says: “I remember my mother hauling cabinets in her own car to a client’s house on a Friday evening because ‘they really needed them’ for a job.”

Scott’s worked in his family business from “the ground up” — his first job was in the warehouse. After graduating from college in 1989, he joined the family business full-time. As he matured in business, Scott established strong relationships with long-time talented employees as well as great builders and contractors in central PA. Taking care of every customer in a way that exceeds their expectations — this is the Swartz way.

Today, the fourth generation of the Swartz family is learning the business — Scott’s son, Kyle, an alumni of Penn State and St. Joseph University, recently joined the commercial side of Swartz Kitchen & Baths.

Just like our founders, we remain proud to work hand-in-hand with homeowners, and hand-in-glove as a true trade partner to building trades — home builders, remodeling contractors, commercial contractors and property managers. These values align with the same principles Scott’s grandfather, Ken Swartz, lived by when he founded Swartz Supply in 1934. The company started as a coal-hauling business, but later provided plumbing, heating and air-conditioning supplies. In the sixties, Ken’s son, Bob Swartz shifted the company’s focus to kitchen cabinetry and other kitchen and bath remodeling products.
