Cabinetry Built for Life
All cabinetry starts with box construction. Medallion Cabinetry takes great care to ensure that their ‘unseen’ box construction is just as impressive as the beautiful finish options they offer on cabinetry doors and drawers. This includes hanging rails that are glued and pocket-screwed to keep cabinets on the walls for years to come; I-beams dadoed into the face frame, end panel, and back panel for extra structural support; and doors with dovetail construction, the strongest joinery possible.
Built in the USA (in Minnesota, Oregon, and Indiana), every cabinet is engineered to last, and backed by a lifetime warranty. The company prides itself on building products that will last a lifetime, thus reducing the need for replacement. Their standard cabinets all feature 75-pound capacity and quiet-close hinges. Medallion Cabinetry also carries the KCMA seal, the industry’s gold standard as set by guidelines from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Additionally, Medallion is a member of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers’ Association (KCMA), the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA). Medallion Cabinetry also boasts a strong commitment to sustainability and green initiatives.
Swartz Kitchens & Baths is one of the Medallion’s partners in a nationwide network of cabinetry dealers, working with clients to design stylish, functional, and durable spaces in the home. Medallion builds cabinetry options that go far beyond the kitchen and the bathroom. Some of their cabinets and drawers are specifically designed for offices, entryways, mud rooms, breakfast nooks, window benches, and pantries.
50 Years of Beauty
Medallion Cabinetry offers four different product offerings with endless customizable options to suit every budget and style. The Medallion Platinum line is crafted with exquisite artistry, featuring fine details and superior workmanship in every angle, line and curve. The Medallion Gold cabinetry line blends personalized craftsmanship with smart, functional design in a full range of styles. Medallion’s Silverline cabinets focus on value, and feature practical function in the company’s most popular styles. Finally, Medallion’s Bath Silhouettes allow customers to create their own personal spa with flexible, easy-to-use cabinetry that can be customized to fit any style.
Medallion offers an abundance of choice when it comes to cabinetry selection. Cabinets can be made with maple, cherry, hickory, oak, quarter-sawn oak, knotty alder, or rustic maple. The company also offers straight-grain options in cherry, maple and oak. And, Thermofoil and MDF cabinets can also be ordered.
In 2019, the year of Medallion Cabinetry’s 50th anniversary, the company added 23 new Classic Paints to its lineup, for a total of 38 standard painted cabinetry options. The collection, called: “The Finish Folio: Paint Edition”, is a favorite of homeowners and kitchen designers alike because of its lustrous enamel finish which provides solid coverage and a smooth, satin sheen. Beyond the classic paints, customers can opt for paint with hand-brushed highlights, paint with accent glaze and highlights, heirloom distressing, and a treatment called “Appaloosa” where the natural beauty of grain shows through a multi-layered finish evoking weathered wood tones. Stain treatments range from sheer color-washed to dry-brushed to accent glazes and highlights.
Medallion Cabinetry doesn’t just offer a wide variety of wood species and finishes, the company also offers popular cabinetry pieces like their walk-in pantry cabinetry. Designers can mask a walk-in pantry using matching doors which mimic the appearance of tall pantry cabinets. Medallion’s wood range exhaust hood designs, shiplap panels, and X-end panels are also in high demand. And, the “charger drawer”, which has a built-in electrical outlet for charging portable electronic devices while keeping them tucked neatly out of sight, is now a must-have in any Medallion kitchen.
If you want to create a beautiful, quality custom kitchen or bath that will last a lifetime, we encourage you to learn more about Medallion Cabinetry.
